Is it normal for women massage therapists to give massages to men

In general, there is probably a bias toward female therapists. But as with any generalizations, there r plenty of exceptions. As a male therapist, I understand there r potential clients, both male & female, who r going to screen me out simply because of my gender. Perfectly cool - massage is a very personal experience, & one need to be perfectly comfortable with the therapist who is touching you.

Having said that, I am a male therapist with reasonably healthy private practice. About 75% of my clients r female, the rest male. Honestly, I think men r more uptight about another man touching them than women r about a man massaging them.

The majority of massage therapists are female, but you can massage anyone you want or get a massage from anyone you want.

There does seem to be some issues around the topic which is really telling of the healing the world needs to do around being touched and nurtured by the opposite or same sex.

Easy answer. Please note that if someone in the section use the words rub or rubbing, they should be discredited. The answer to ''Is it like: women massage therapists for women & men massage therapists for men?'' is No. Your therapist should see u as a patient seeking treatment whether it be for a musculoskeletal issue or stress relief. If u feel uncomfortable with someone from the opposite sex u can always request a certain gender. Their r more women therapists then men but for patients that come in the gender difference is about 50-50. It is completely normal for a female therapist to work on a man & likewise of a male therapist.

A Licensed Massage therapist, either male or female, is qualified to massage both men and women. The person getting the massage is usually the one setting preferences for either gender of massage therapist.

I am a lisenced and certified massage therapist. it is totally normal for a woman to massage a man, a man to massage a woman, a man to massage a man, and a woman to massage a woman.

I am a massage therapist and the majority of my clients are men. Like everyone else has said most men feel funny having another man touch them though it should not matter. A massage is a massage whether from a man or woman.

It is the norm.. Most guys would not dream of another man touching their skin but as I understand for women it is not so difficult to have a member of the same sex perform a message.. This is probably the reason why the majority of massage therapists are women..

yes it is normal ,most guys dont want other guys rubbing them.
